Kelly Ripa’s latest outfit is making us feel extremely nostalgic.
This week, producers posted a video on the official Live with Kelly and Ryan Instagram account, featuring Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, virtually interviewing guest Kristen Stewart.
It’s hard to see in the clip because the screen is divided into three. However, Ripa is donning an outfit that you need to see to believe, especially if you’re a fan of classic games: a Space Invaders sweater.
After some digging, we found a similar version: Space Invaders Holiday Knit Sweater by Taito, which retails for $49. The piece features a fair Isle, geometric pattern that pays tribute to the Japanese video game. Although we’re not sure if her sweater is similarly made for men, it doesn’t look too big on Ripa, who likely wanted an oversize vibe.
During the interview, Ripa and Seacrest chatted with Stewart about her engagement to partner Dylan Meyer. The Spencer star previously discussed the proposal during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show and confirmed that her girlfriend had popped the question. “We’re marrying, we’re totally gonna do it,” the actress shared during the episode. “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it. We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
