Kelly Ripa Pens Sweet Note to Son in Honor of His Graduation from NYU

The Ripa-Consuelos family is celebrating a super-special milestone. *Cue “Graduation (Friends Forever)” by Vitamin C*

Yesterday, Kelly Ripa shared a slideshow on Instagram in honor of her oldest son, Michael (22), who just graduated from New York University (NYU).

The first pic was taken recently, featuring Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, posing with Michael, who is wearing a graduation cap. The rest of the slideshow includes never-before-seen photos from his childhood, and we suddenly feel extremely old.

The Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host, 49, penned a sweet note to Michael in the caption, writing, “And just like that you graduated college. MJC, the joy and pride you have brought our family is indescribable. I love you with all my heart #NYU #2020.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Michael didn’t get the graduation he imagined, since he was forced to celebrate from the comfort of his own home. Still, we welcome any excuse to break out the old photo albums.

Speaking of, this isn’t the first time Ripa has shared candid family pictures on Instagram. In fact, she’s been using this time of social distancing to post a series of throwback pics. This includes photos of her husband, her in-laws and even her mom, who looks identical to Ripa.

In addition to Michael, Ripa and Consuelos also share a daughter, Lola (18), and son Joaquin (17).

Congratulations to Michael (and his proud parents)!
