Kelly Ripa Debuted a New Hairdo on the ‘Live’ After Oscars Show—And We’re Absolutely in Love

This is not a drill: Kelly Ripa is rocking a completely new ‘do for Live with Kelly and Ryan’s After Oscar Show.

Today, Ripa and Ryan Seacrest hosted their annual televised event. While the 51-year-old actress is known for her signature middle part, she decided to put a slightly different spin on her go-to hairdo in honor of the 94th Academy Awards.

In a teaser clip posted to the Live Instagram page, Ripa rocked a high ponytail. While still keeping her classic middle part, Ripa sported side bangs that were curled at the ends. The All My Children alum walked out wearing a shiny, purple ruffle dress that featured padded shoulders. She accessorized the look with open-toed purple heels.

Meanwhile, Seacrest donned a navy blue suit jacket with a black shirt and bow tie. He tied the outfit together with black dress pants and Oxford shoes. The co-host didn’t change his hair for the special event, opting for a slicked-back hairstyle.

It’s no surprise that viewers rushed to the comments section to gush about her new ‘do. “The bangs look stunning! [heart eye emoji],” one fan wrote. Another person admired their stunning outfits, writing, “You guys look amazing,” with a hand-clapping emoji.

Ripa doesn’t change her hair very often. But when she does, we certainly take notice. Just last week, the talk show host debuted a chic side part on an episode of Live. She has done this hairstyle in the past, so fans were excited to see it come back (even if it was only for a day).
