This past Friday, August 26 was National Dog Day, and while we loved seeing posts from celebs showing off their pets, we weren't surprised to find that Kelly Ripa was among the proud parents of furry friends.
In an Instagram Story that she uploaded late last night, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host exhibited her pup, Lena, who was seen holding a white flower in her mouth. Along with the adorable snap of the Maltese/Shih Tzu mix, Ripa wrote, “Did someone say #nationaldogday?”
This isn't the first time Ripa has given one of her dogs the spotlight.
In fact, Lena, as well as Ripa's other dog, Chewie, were both surprise guests on an episode of Live back in January. As Ripa and Ryan Seacrest welcomed Peloton instructor Emma Lovewell for a segment on how to “crush their core workout,” Ripa was seen in her home petting her two dogs as she rested on her yoga mat.
But while we always love Ripa's dog content, we couldn't help but notice that she subtly included a Spotify link at the bottom of her latest Story. And if you clicked on it, the link directed you to the Spotify page for her daughter Lola's brand-new song, “Paranoia Silverlining.”
We loved this sly effort by Ripa to promote her daughter's music, and it's not the first time she's highlighted the 21-year-old's new song on her account.
The track debuted earlier this month, and Ripa teased it by sharing a clip of her and Mark Consuelos sunbathing, as a snippet of the track played in the background. “Casually waiting for the arrival of @theyoungestyung first single PARANOIA SILVERLINING, drops tomorrow across all platforms!” Ripa wrote.
The middle Consuelos child teased the song on her own TikTok account as well, where she filmed herself lip-synching the words and wrote, “CLINK LINK IN BIO TO PRE SAVE PARANOIA SILVER LINING EEEEEEEEEK.”
Kelly is always such a supportive mom (and dog mom).
