Kelly Ripa Trolls Husband Mark Consuelos on New Co-Host Job—and He Trolls Her Right Back
If you haven’t already heard, the Riverdale star will host the morning show alongside his wife starting this coming spring. As they enter this new chapter together, Ripa took a moment to casually troll her husband about their new co-working arrangement—and Consuelos took the opportunity to do the same.
Yesterday, the Live Wire author shared a picture of herself, Seacrest and Consuelos all dressed in costume from a past episode of Live on her Instagram page.
In the caption, she wrote a touching message to her former co-host, writing, “OK NOW we’re empty nesters. When your friends become workmates become family. [Red heart emoji]. Congratulations @ryanseacrest on surviving six winters in NYC! I’m proud of you and am forever in your corner.”
But before she ended the message, Ripa playfully joked about her new work partner in crime, saying, “And @instasuelos welcome home, or to the contractual obligation phase of our relationship.”
Consuelos posted a similar picture on his Instagram profile and shared a heartwarming sentiment about the American Idol host. He wrote, “Congrats on your next chapter @ryanseacrest. I love you like a brother. I know I have some big shoes to fill … well actually they’re only a size 9, but you know what I mean.”
And, of course, Consuelos poked fun at his wife too, saying, “@kellyripa my ride or die. This is going to be amazing! I can’t believe after all these years of listening to you talk for free, I found a way to get paid for it. Is this a great country or what?” with a red heart emoji.
We’re so excited to see this funny couple’s banter on Live soon enough.
