Kelly Ripa Shares a Rare Throwback of Herself and Mark Consuelos Filming ‘All My Children’

Kelly Ripa decided to take a trip down memory lane and shared an old snapshot from the set of All My Children.

The Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host posted a throwback photo on IG yesterday, featuring herself and Mark Consuelos filming the popular soap opera. In the pic, young Kelly is holding a white towel over her chest, sharing a laugh with Consuelos. Meanwhile, the handsome actor smiles back, all while sporting a burgundy T-shirt.

Ripa wrote in the caption, “Hayley [heart emoji] Mateo #amc #mcm 1998.”

Ripa and Consuelos first met on the set of All My Children. On the show, the young actress played Hayley Vaughan, while Consuelos portrayed Mateo Santos. The co-stars portrayed on-screen love interests for quite some time until their characters tied the knot.

Back in 2018, Ripa appeared on Radio Andy and recounted the moment she knew they were meant to be. “I saw my husband in a photograph before I saw him,” Ripa said at the time. “And I knew when I saw him. I knew when I saw his photograph.”

The Riverdale actor could remember the exact moment he met his future wife, but he didn’t think he had a shot. In a 2014 interview with HuffPost, Consuelos said he thought that she was out of his league. “I didn't really think I had a chance with her,” he told the outlet. He was more focused on getting the role of Mateo, which he later secured.

Keep the All My Children throwbacks coming, Kelly.
