Kelly Ripa’s ‘Dream’ Came True When a Very Special Celeb Paid a Visit to ‘Live’

Just because Kelly Ripa is one of the most well-known Hollywood doesn’t mean she herself doesn’t get starstruck. And during a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ripa was able to live her “dream” with a very famous guest.

On Friday, the 50-year-old TV personality and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, were joined by world-renowned dermatologist Sandra Lee (otherwise known as Dr. Pimple Popper). And it’s clear from the episode that Ripa is a Dr. Popper stan, considering she not-so-casually geeked out over the segment.

“I am going to be a board-certified dermatologist by the time this is all over,” Ripa said in a clip shared on the Live Instagram account, “Today should be the final show for me, just let me retire.”

So how exactly did the mother of three become a “hard popper” as Dr. Lee referred to it? Turns out, it all started after she broke her foot years ago, and had nothing else to do but watch videos in bed. “I don’t know how I stumbled upon it but I stumbled upon it,” Ripa continued. “But once you find one then that’s it. And those Lipomas [whatever that is], I’m not even sure how they happen but I just want in and want to assist you in some way.” We totally agree.

During the ten-minute segment, the trio learned how to properly perform surgery on a cyst (AKA a painted cupcake that Seacrest called “delicious”). Not surprisingly, Ripa dove right in. And did we mention she ate the filling after it was extracted? That’s definitely not something you see every day.

Way to go, Kelly. Looks like you might just have that second career in dermatology.
