Kelly Ripa Fans Rush to Her Defense When Troll Says Her ‘Live’ Dress Is Too Short

Remember earlier this week when we were gushing over Kelly Ripa’s stunning gray midi dress (you know, the one that’s still somehow available online)? Well, as it turns out, not all of the 50-year-old’s Instagram followers were fans of the dress, specifically its length.

ICYMI: On Monday, the producers of Live with Kelly and Ryan shared another segment of our favorite series, “KellysFashionFinder” on Instagram. In the quick clip, the mother of three shared the details of her ensemble, which included a gray dress from Isabel Marant and a Saint Laurent belt. “They’re not related,” Ripa explained to the camera while emphasizing the difference in pronunciation of the two brands. “Marant...Laurent. I see how that can get confusing.”

And while we loved the Valentine virgin wool mini dress enough to search online until we found the exact outfit (on sale for that matter), a few social media users revealed in the comments section that they were displeased with the length of the hem.

“Nice dress, but a little too short!!” one follower wrote, while another asked her to “lower the hem.” However, it wasn’t long before lots and lots of Ripa stans stood up for the television host. One fan responded, "She doesn't need to.” We second that.

According to the website, the piece features a high, draped neckline, buttoned cuffs and is secured with a hidden snap-button fastening. Originally $665, the sale prince is currently $465 (although, we don’t know how long the discount will last, so we suggest acting fast).

To top off her look, Ripa opted for a pair of black tights (keeping things classy) and blue suede pumps which we believe to be her favorite pair by Gianvito Rossi.

Ignore the haters, Kelly. We think you look great.
