Katy Perry Just Performed ‘Baby Mine’ from ‘Dumbo’…in Full Costume

To no one’s surprise, pregnant Katy Perry went all out during The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II.

Yesterday, as part of the ABC singalong special, the American Idol judge, 35, performed “Baby Mine” from the 1941 movie Dumbo. Naturally, Perry dressed up as the elephant’s mother and enlisted her dog, Nugget, to wear the actual Dumbo costume.

“It’s time to hear from a very good friend of mine,” Ryan Seacrest says in the clip. “Someone who has truly committed to this sing-along challenge in a way only she can.”

During the performance, Perry can be seen cradling her Poodle as she sings “Baby Mine” from the comfort of her couch. Compared to the other (fairly casual) performances, we give her an A+ for effort.

Perry was one of many celebs to take part in The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II. The star-studded lineup included Idina Menzel, Ben Platt, Halsey, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Shakira, Rebel Wilson and Josh Gad. The program raised money for Feeding America, but no one went above and beyond quite like Perry, who is expecting a baby girl with Orlando Bloom.

We first learned about the pregnancy news back in March when she released her “Never Worn White” music video. The footage shows Perry dressed in all-white as she cradles her stomach and sings, “See us in sixty years with a full family tree (I do).”

We can only imagine what Perry has in store for the baby’s arrival. Perhaps a recreation of Beyoncé’s iconic announcement? The possibilities are endless.
