Katie Holmes Shares Throwback of Art Project She Made with Suri Years Ago

For the last 14 years, Katie Holmes has only given us an occasional glimpse into her private life with her daughter, Suri Cruise. However, the Dawson's Creek star recently surprised fans and shared an intimate moment from Suri’s childhood.

Last week, in honor of the New York snowfall, the 42-year-old actress posted an image of a project she and Suri had made when she was little. “Snow days remind me of the dioramas my daughter and I made together years ago,” she captioned the post. “There is something very fun about making little worlds together. Happy snow day!”

And we clearly weren’t the only ones impressed. Fans and followers filled the comments section with admiration. One user wrote, “I love things like that, it looks unreal!” while another added, “Oh my gosh so magical!!! I had no idea there was a name for this !! Used to love doing this when I was a kid.”

As we mentioned above, the Batman Begins star usually remains tight-lipped when it comes to her teenager’s life. But last September, Holmes gave us some rare insight during an interview with InStyle. 

“I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality,” she told the outlet. “To make sure she is 100 percent herself and strong, confident and able. And to know it. She came out very strong—she's always been a strong personality. She'll pick an activity and work her butt off until she's really good at it. Then she's like, ‘OK, I'm going to try the next thing.’ She's very focused and a hard worker.”

Looks as if Suri acquired both her mother's likeness and her artistic abilities.
