Katie Holmes Shares Rare Modeling Pic to Instagram (Where She’s Rocking a Seriously Slicked-Back Hairdo)

It's not often that Katie Holmes shares a modeling pic to her Instagram account. Usually, the 43-year-old actress prefers to post the books she's reading, the art she's been admiring or anything related to social justice.

But yesterday, the Dawson's Creek alum made a rare upload from her Les Femmes Publiques cover shoot from last fall. In her caption, she credited the team who help put the shoot together, saying, “@lesfemmespubliques [photo] by @dafstudio styled by @briesarawelch. Makeup @marikoarai. Hair @alina_friesen.”

Holmes's pose is reminiscent of Edvard Munch's The Scream in the photo (minus the terrified look). The black-and-white shot shows Holmes with her gloved hands pressed on both sides of her face, as she stares directly at the camera. The Logan Lucky star is wearing a black, ribbed top and her hair is dramatically slicked back with gel. Her silver nose stud is the only piece of jewelry featured in the up-close portrait.

We weren't the only ones who enjoyed this rare modeling pic from Holmes (and the opportunity to see her with a greaser-style hairdo).

Fellow celebs showed their love for the photo, like Patti Smith, who said, “Effortlessly elegant” (to which Holmes responded, “Oh thank u Patti”). Holmes's former partner, Emilio Vitolo, also commented with a series of fire emojis and the raising hands emoji.

The last time Holmes shared a modeling shot on her account was all the way back in October, when she promoted her cover shoot with a caption that said, “This was such a fun day creating these photos! I am so honored to be a part of @lesfemmespubliques.”

Stunning as always, Katie.
