Katharine McPhee Is Pregnant with Her First Child

Major congrats are in order for Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster, who are the latest celebrity couple to get pregnant during quarantine.

According to People, the 36-year-old singer is expecting her first child. The news broke shortly after the mag obtained photos of the couple during a shopping outing in Montecito, California (AKA Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new stomping grounds).

In the exclusive pics, McPhee is flaunting her growing baby bump while wearing a pair of leggings, a long-sleeve T-shirt and a baseball cap. No further details about the pregnancy have been released, but she appears to be several weeks along.

McPhee and Foster first met back in 2006 when the singer was a contestant on American Idol. However, things didn’t turn romantic until several years later. In 2019, the couple tied the knot in London at the Church of Saint Yeghiche. The ceremony was attended by 150 of their closest friends and family.

Earlier this year, McPhee celebrated their first wedding anniversary by sharing a slideshow of photos from the big day (and a few behind-the-scenes shots of her stunning Zac Posen dress).

She captioned the post, “A year ago today I married the love of my life. Thank you for always loving me and inspiring me in all aspects of my life. I love you. Here’s to the future! (Oh and happy anniversary to the other love of my life - this dreamy dress! thank you @ZacPosen!!)”

Although this is McPhee’s first child, Foster is already a dad to five—we repeat, five—daughters: Allison (50), Amy (46), Sara (39), Erin (38) and Jordan (34).

More bump pics, please.
