Kate Middleton Shares Never-Before-Seen Snap of Princess Charlotte Smelling Flowers

Kate Middleton just revealed a brand-new photo of her daughter Princess Charlotte and even gave some background behind the pic.

The new photo was shared on the Kensington Palace Instagram account Saturday, in honor of Middleton's Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast interview that was released the same day. In the new interview, the mother of three opened up about the photo and revealed why it holds such a special meaning to the duchess.

“I’ve got this one photo of Charlotte smelling a bluebell, and really for me, it’s moments like that that mean so much to me as a parent, and I try every day to put moments like that in, even if they’re small or even if I don’t have time… but that in an ideal world is what I would like to do.”

In the snap, which Middleton took in the spring of 2019, we see little Charlotte crouching down to smell a bunch of bluebells at the family's country home of Anmer Hall in Norfolk. And by the looks of what the princess is wearing, it seems as though the shot could be from the batch of her fourth birthday portraits

During the podcast, the Duchess of Cambridge also spoke about the importance of the early years, and about her landmark 5 Big Questions on the Under Fives survey which aims to spark conversation on early childhood, asking everyone to weigh in on raising the next generation.

Kate, if you’re reading this, keep the candid photos coming.
