Kate Middleton Reveals Which Song Her Children Are Currently Learning

Looks like there’s a lot of singing going on at the Cambridge household. Kate Middleton just revealed that her two eldest children are learning a new song for school.

Last week marked the 75th anniversary of VE Day—75 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe. In honor of the national day of remembrance, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spoke (via Zoom) to veterans who served in the war about their recollections of that remarkable day.

During the video call, the 38-year-old royal revealed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been learning the lyrics to "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn as part of a school project.

“The school has set all the children a challenge, and they're currently trying to learn the lyrics and the song to 'We'll Meet Again,'” Kate said in the clip. “Hopefully putting that all together. So it's been really lovely having that playing every day.”

If you didn’t know, Lynn's classic tune became something of an unofficial national anthem for Britain during the war. And according to the duchess, the song fits right in with George’s curriculum.

“George is just starting to learn about the Second World War,” Middleton continued. “He would be really honored to come and speak to you, so maybe another time George could have a quick chat with you to hear all your stories as well.”

That’s not all the six-year-old has been learning. Last week, Middleton made an appearance on British TV show This Morning to discuss her latest project, Hold Still, and opened up about the challenges of homeschooling her children.

“George gets very upset because he wants to do all of Charlotte's projects…making sort of spider sandwiches is far cooler than literacy work,” she said.
