Kate Middleton Just Paid Tribute to Princess Diana at the 2019 BAFTAs

Move over, Grammys. Kate Middleton and Prince William had a fancy date night to the BAFTAs (basically the British Oscars) and the duchess paid tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The duchess wore an ethereal flowing one-shoulder white gown with floral details by Alexander McQueen and embraced her all-out princess aesthetic with sparkly white Jimmy Choo heels. She accessorized with a pair of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s massive diamond, pearl and silver earrings.

William went with a classic black tux and white pocket square.

Middleton wore her hair in an updo that showed off the teardrop earrings. She also took a cue from her sister-in-law Meghan Markle and finished off her look with a smoky eye and sparkly lip gloss—a look the Duchess of Sussex went for on Thursday during her and Prince Harry’s night out at the Endeavour Fund Awards.

Markle did the same thing during her and Prince Harry's royal tour of Oceania in October. She wore a pair of Diana's butterfly earrings during a Sydney reception.

Prince William is presenting the Fellowship award to film editor Thelma Schoonmaker. This award is given to an individual in recognition of an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.

Looking like a fairy tale princess while paying tribute to an actual one: Middleton's night out just broke every record (Grammy or otherwise).
