Although she probably has her hands pretty full with 1-month-old Prince Louis (and recovering from the Meghan and Harry wedding festivities, of course), the Duchess of Cambridge penned an open letter to a cause very close to her heart, children’s hospice.
In a rare glimpse into royal behind-the-scenes life, Kate Middleton, mom of George, 4, Charlotte, 3, and Louis (and royal patron of children’s hospices), revealed her favorite moments of being a mother in a letter to East Anglia Children’s Hospices, which the organization shared on Twitter for Children’s Hospice Week.
She describes her favorite moments of being a mom, writing “Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”
It’s no small wonder that Duchess Kate loves playtime outdoors, since she’s often photographed with her kids at outdoor events, and more recently, according to Vanity Fair, pushing Prince Louis in a stroller around Kensington Gardens.
And now that it’s nice out, the duchess’s letter has us craving a bit of recess, ourselves. (Hey, Kate, are you sure George and Char don’t need a babysitter?
