Kate Middleton and Brother James Share *This* Unique Passion

Kate Middleton has a close relationship with her younger brother James. However, we are just learning that they also share a very unique hobby: beekeeping.

On Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to the Natural History Museum in London to explore its new Urban Nature Project. During the outing, Middleton joined schoolchildren for some nature-centered activities in the garden, including spider-making and an interactive story-telling exercise. She also assisted in fixing an acoustic monitoring device to a cherry tree in the Wildlife Garden.

However, there was one moment in the day that really caught our attention. While sitting with the children, she offered them fresh honey from her Norfolk country home of Anmer Hall.

“Would you like to try some? This came specially from my beehive,” she told the kids, according to People. “Does it taste like honey from the shops? Does it taste like flowers?”

Yup—turns out the duchess is a beekeeper like her little brother. Last year, the 34-year-old revealed his passion for beekeeping which started with a gift from his big sis, Kate.

“While I’ve been intrigued by the natural world for as long as I can remember,” the youngest Middleton told the Daily Mail, “I’d always harboured a longing to keep bees, but it wasn’t until I turned 24 in 2011 that the wish became reality. Then, my family—mum, dad and my sisters Catherine and Pippa—clubbed together to buy what, for me, was the most fantastic birthday gift imaginable. A delivery van arrived with a large buzzing box with the cautionary label: ‘Live Bees’. Inside was the nucleus—the start—of my colony: 1,000 Buckfast bees.”

Who knew these two shared a love for bees?
