It’s a royal head-scratcher: Do Kate Middleton and Prince William dress up for Halloween? Not officially, but Kensington Palace just revealed that the princess does have big plans for October 31 this year.
Her costume: She’s going as a tennis fan...sort of. Since the duchess took over for Queen Elizabeth as official patron of the Lawn Tennis Association, Kate will spend the typically spooky day courtside, visiting the grounds of the organization and watching several matches, including a wheelchair tennis demonstration. She’ll even take part in the Tennis for Kids session, a program that coaches kids on how to play—and actually enjoy—tennis. Not bad considering the royal mama-to-be is just starting her second trimester. (She has always been athletic.)
OK, so it’s not the super-scary costume we were hoping for, but kudos to Kate for having a sense of occasion. It is a holiday, after all.
