Kate Middleton Admits Even She Needs Advice Dealing with ‘Toddler Tantrums’

Kate Middleton promised us a Q&A, and boy did she deliver. Not to mention, she also received some advice of her own about dealing with “toddler tantrums.”

Last week, the Duchess of Cambridge posted a message inviting followers to ask questions that coincide with her latest project, 5 Big Questions on the Under Fives, a survey that aims to spark conversation on early childhood and asks everyone to weigh in on raising the next generation. The post’s caption read, “Let’s talk about the early years! This weekend The Duchess and experts from the sector will answer some of your questions on the early years. Post your question below.”

And over the weekend, the 38-year-old royal did just that. “I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in their questions,” she said in a video on Instagram. “There are a huge number here with loads of wonderful emojis attached to them.”

She continued, “I think people assume that because I am a parent, that’s why I’ve taken an interest in the Early Years. I think this really is bigger than that. This isn’t just about happy, healthy children. This is about the society I hope we could and can become."

At one point, Middleton even turned to a group of experts to help answer some more difficult questions—including one about how to manage “toddler tantrums.” “Yes, that’s a hard one. I’d also like to ask the experts myself!” she said while referring to her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Yup, looks like even the creator of the “U.K.’s biggest ever study on the early years” needs parenting help sometimes.
