If you’ve ever wondered what Kate Middleton looks like in action, you’re in luck.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, recently hosted a virtual ceremony at the Natural History Museum, where she announced the winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award. Shortly after filming the address, Kensington Palace shared a rare behind-the-scenes photo from the shoot.
The candid image features Middleton standing in the Natural History Museum’s Hintze Hall in between takes. She looks confident in a black tailored pantsuit, which fits like a glove. (The blazer is reportedly from one of her favorite designers, Alexander McQueen).
The duchess accessorized the outfit with minimalist pearl teardrop earrings and styled her hair in her signature waves (natch).
During the video, Middleton congratulated the winner Sergey Gorshkov, who submitted a stunning photo of a tiger hugging a tree. She also thanked the public for raising awareness about the initiative, which encourages people to spend time outdoors.
“As we have seen this evening, the competition attracts the very best in wildlife photography. The skill and creativity of this year’s images provide a moving and fascinating insight into the beauty and vulnerability of life on our planet,” she said. “And thank you to all of those who entered for showing us the magic of the natural world, and for reminding us that caring for our environment and its precious biodiversity has never been more important.”
One thing’s for sure: Middleton is a total natural in front of the camera.
