Kate Hudson Dances with Maddie Ziegler and Rainbows in Sia’s New Feel-Good Video

Rainbows. Dancing. Upbeat pop hooks. And a beaming Kate Hudson. That's what is happening in Sia's new music video "Together," a song from the artist's upcoming film Music, a musical which Sia co-wrote and directed starring Maddie Ziegler as an autistic teen cared for by her sober, drug-peddling big sister played by Kate Hudson. The premise is very real, but we promise, the vid is the happiest thing you'll watch all day.

The video, which features more cast members from the film, begins with Zeigler, the breakout star from Sia's 2014 "Chandelier" dance sensation, spotlit in the dark, wearing earmuffs that are tweaked to look like a rainbow between two clouds. The camera pulls back to show her co-stars, Hudson and Hamilton's Leslie Odom, Jr.

Hudson and Zeigler dance with Odom in rainbow-tinted rooms, while the camera swirls around them and they are joined by a diverse child choir and character actor Hector Elizondo. The dancing is wild, free and looks more like a Zoom Zumba class than a strictly choreographed dance routine, thanks to Sia's longtime collaborator Ryan Heffington.

Meanwhile the pop-hook-laden song exhorts listeners to "set the past on fire" and name-checks Stevie Wonder. All this energy and positivity is a great teaser for the September theatrical release of Music. Until then we have "Together," the happy song of the summer.
