Watch Kate Hudson Sing on ‘Fallon’ and You’ll Understand Why We’re So Excited for Her Next Big Project (Girl’s Got Pipes!)

In case you didn’t already know, Kate Hudson can do a lot—from acting in romcom classics like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days to running business ventures like Fabletics, King St. Vodka and InBloom, all while raising a gorgeous family

What can’t she do? Sing? Nope, she can actually do that one really well.

In fact, the 43-year-old award-winning actress and businesswoman shared a huge announcement on Instagram this past Monday. Hudson revealed in the caption, “Finally realized it’s time to say f#%! it and saaaannngg!!!!! #albumincoming #myikigai.”

Above, the star rehearses her upcoming album along with bandmates and camera crew in tow. Rachel Zoe, Hilary Swank, Janelle Monae and Rita Wilson amongst many other celebs and fans were quick to flood the comments with their excitement.

And if you happened to miss Hudson’s unbelievable performance on Jimmy Fallon’s game show, That’s My Jam, well let us refresh your memory.

The actress was challenged to sing a random song in a completely different musical genre than the original, which is generated by the game show’s randomizer. Hudson was challenged to take on Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings” in a doo-wop version. The result? Pure magic.

And Hudson appeared to love the challenge as she danced to the microphone and ran through some vocal warm-ups before the performance. It was during this mini a cappella riff when everyone in the audience realized how talented the actress really is when it comes to singing.

In fact, Grande responded to the star’s rendition, raving, “Stunning perfect gorgeous,” followed up by requesting the version on all streaming services, according to Today.

Did Grande speak this into existence? Well, whatever Hudson’s motivation, we are *so* thankful for it.
