Julia Louis-Dreyfus was diagnosed with breast cancer in September, but she’s not letting the devastating disease stop her from being her hysterical self.
Veep executive producer Frank Rich shared an update on the Emmy Award-winning actress’s health today, saying she returns to work between chemo treatments and has continued to “just be hilarious playing Selina Meyer.”
Rich explained the cast and crew schedule table reads around her availability, and Louis-Dreyfus continues to wow them with her tenacity and wit. “It’s been quite something because she’s fighting a serious, what is for anybody, a real illness. And yet she wants to keep working as much as circumstances allow without being crazy about it. I’ve seen her as recently as ten days ago and watched her just be hilarious playing Selina Meyer,” Rich marveled.
It seems Louis-Dreyfus will stop at nothing to secure Selina Meyer’s rightful place in the Oval Office, and we’re mighty proud.
