Allow Josh Gad to Entertain Your Children with a Little Virtual Story Time
The 39-year-old Beauty and the Beast star decided to do parents everywhere a major solid amid ongoing social distancing. While many school districts are closed and families are stuck at home, Gad is aiming to bring some levity to these difficult times by reading his favorite children’s books on social media.
“Since we’re all stuck at home right now I figured we would have a little fun together, so I’m going to see how this goes, but I decided I’m gonna read to you and your children or just you, depending on what you prefer,” Gad said in a live Twitter video. “I’m not gonna pass judgment right now since the world is a little bit of a hot mess.”
Gad decided to kick things off with a little book called Olivia Goes to Venice. Thanks to his experience as a voice actor, he was able to create different voices for each character. He also pledged to “provide at least 10 minutes of daycare to you and your families a night while we’re going through the unprecedented global event.” He wrapped things up by wishing all of his fans and followers health and safety.
Following his Olivia Goes to Venice debut, he’s also read The Day the Crayons Quit and The Giving Tree (he added that he “has a lot of feels for this book”).
We can’t wait to see what’s next in Gad’s book club.
