We finally have a release date for Jonathan Van Ness’s highly anticipated memoir, and it’s coming sooner than expected.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the grooming expert, 31, will publish his book, Over the Top, this fall. The novel will focus on his Midwestern upbringing, along with the years of judgment he endured before landing Netflix’s Queer Eye.
Judith Curr, president of HarperOne, celebrated the exciting news in a statement, saying, “HarperOne seeks to publish authors whose lives inspire and Jonathan Van Ness embodies that mission. His memoir will move readers and offer a unique and much-needed testament to the power of staying true to yourself.”
Editor Hilary Swanson also confirmed that Over the Top will incorporate JVN’s priceless sense of humor, adding, “Jonathan’s journey is at times hilarious, at times harrowing—and always refreshingly honest. I could not be more proud to help share his incredible story and show readers how to take their own struggles and turn them into something beautiful.”
