John Legend is all about giving the people what they want (and need) right now.
The “All of Me” singer live-streamed a concert from his home on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon. The 41-year-old announced the news yesterday and shared that he got his inspiration from friend and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who held a similar live event.
"My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today,” Legend wrote in a tweet. “I'll be doing one tomorrow at 1pm Pacific time. See you soon. We'll try to get through this together!”
Perhaps the best part? Chrissy Teigen was in attendance just like she promised. “I’ll be there!! because I literally have no choice,” she responded in her own tweet.
As for the tracklist of the set, the 34-year-old mother of two promptly told her followers to get in their request ASAP and later confirmed that her hubby will be covering the Office theme song (thanks to Mindy Kaling), the Kars4Kids jingle and Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay's “Good As Gold.” And boy, did he deliver.
It’s also important to note that the Grammy winner went “pantsless” for the event, instead making it a “robe party.”
There’s no other way we’d rather spend our afternoon than with the Lengend-Teigen gang.
