John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are starring in their first feature film together, A Quiet Place.
In the first-look trailer released today, Krasinski and Blunt play a couple living in total isolation in the woods and communicating solely through sign language. But when their daughter (Millicent Simmonds) accidentally knocks over a lantern during a game of Monopoly, we soon learn the family’s quiet lifestyle isn’t due to hearing impairment—it’s for survival.
“If they can’t hear you, they can’t hunt you,” the film’s tagline reads. Cut to a montage of bone-chilling noises, flashing light bulbs and Blunt curled up in the fetal position silently screaming in fear.
A Quiet Place hits theaters on April 6, 2018. Excuse us while we pre-schedule our therapy appointment.
