Joe Jonas to Star in Upcoming Korean War Film, ‘Devotion’

Joe Jonas is making his way to the big screen!

According to Deadline, the 31-year-old singer will be starring in a Korean War drama called Devotion, which will start production next month. Understandably, Jonas couldn't contain his excitement about the news. On Instagram, he shared a screenshot of the announcement and wrote, "Let’s get it!! Can’t wait to start filming [airplane emoji] #Devotion."

In the comments, his brother, Nick Jonas, showed his support and wrote, "Let's get it!" Actor Glen Powell, who will co-star in the film, also commented, "Let’s flyyyyyyyyy."

Jonas's role has yet to be confirmed, but so far, we know that the movie will tell the true story of U.S. Navy officers Jesse Brown and Tom Hudner. Per the official synopsis, the two men are "initiated together into the VF-32 squadron and pushed to their limits, testing and flying a new design of fighter jet. But their friendship is tested when one of them is shot down behind enemy lines."

In addition to Jonas and Powell, the cast includes Thomas Sadoski, Jonathan Majors, Nick Hargrove and Christina Jackson. Devotion will be produced by Molly Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill through Black Label Media and J .D. Dillard is set to direct. Also, Jake Crane and Jonathan A. Stewart penned the script.

Though he's known for his Disney Channel Camp Rock movies, this will mark Jonas's first-ever major film. We can't wait to see him in action!
