When it comes to breastfeeding her children, Jessica Alba isn’t afraid to enlist the help of a friend. (Hint: It’s not her husband, Cash Warren.)
Alba recently appeared on the cover of InStyle’s July issue (hits newsstands today) and discussed the ups and downs of parenting her three children, Honor (10), Haven (6) and Hayes (5 months). But you might be surprised to learn that her most prized mom gadget has nothing to do with high-tech baby monitors. (No offense, Owlet.) Instead, the actress’s favorite invention is—drumroll, please—an electric breast pump.
“There’s machines now. Why would you do it manually? I mean, just imagine this for like 45 minutes,” she said, along with some NSFW hand gestures.
The 37-year-old even listed off benefits of the pumping alternative, adding, “So many things are possible now. You can do your nails. You can look at Instagram. You can cuddle your baby—my best friend and worst enemy.” Noted.
But to the manual moms who prefer pumping the old-fashioned way, we salute you.
