As Jennifer Lopez’s fiancé, Alex Rodriguez has more than a few responsibilities. He’s her Instagram husband (dude takes great pics), her biggest fan and best friend, and he definitely keeps her on her toes. With all the hats he wears, we couldn’t help but wonder if the 43-year-old former baseball star also plays stylist to his lady love. So, we asked J.Lo’s actual stylist, Rob Zangardi.
Zangardi told PureWow exclusively, “He is always super supportive of whatever Jennifer wants to wear.” So, did he get in on the outfit selection process for her new “It’s My Party” tour? Nope. The 49-year-old “Let’s Get Loud” singer and Zangardi had that handled. When asked how he and Lopez continually select ensembles that are simultaneously on-trend and classic, Zangardi replied, “We try to push the fashion envelope but always like to keep the look timeless, so it can last forever.” (That brings to mind J.Lo’s green Versace dress from the 2000 Grammy Awards, doesn’t it?)
Of all the stunning looks Lopez has donned, Zangardi—who also works with A-listers like Gwen Stefani and Ciara—does have a few favorites. “I love the pink Giambattista Valli from the Second Act premiere. We worked with Ralph Lauren to design the custom orange look she wore to the CFDAs. It’s fun to collaborate with designers like that, and she looked incredible,” he said. We have to agree there.
The question remains: Does A-Rod get in on the post-show outfit re-crystaling? The world may never know.
