It’s official: Jennifer Lopez will star in her first rom-com since 2010, alongside our favorite TV dad, Milo Ventimiglia.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two will star in Second Act. In the film, J.Lo will play the role of a big-box store employee who overhauls her life, setting out to show Madison Avenue that street smarts are just as useful as a college degree. Ventimiglia will play Trey, her longtime boyfriend along for the ride.
Naturally, the part was written with Lopez in mind. “Second Act is a story that empowers the everywoman to do more, to be more and not limit their dreams,” Lopez said. Bonus: It’s being described as a mix between Maid in Manhattan and Working Girl.
Leah Remini and Vanessa Hudgens will also star in the film, which is set to release in 2018.
Jack Pearson plus J.Lo? We’ll get the popcorn.
