Jennifer Lopez just documented her family’s failed attempt at making homemade popsicles.
This week, the 52-year-old singer posted a video on Instagram, featuring herself and her 13-year-old twins—Emme and Max—making Halloween treats in her massive kitchen. Lopez also gave us a never-before-seen glimpse inside her freezer, which is stocked with goodies.
The video features footage from the family’s dessert extravaganza. J.Lo begins by melting chocolate in a saucepan on the stove. “We have beautiful chocolate,” she says.
Lopez proceeds to grab homemade bars (which are covered in Oreo wrappers) from the freezer. Speaking of, the freezer is filled with last-minute dinner ideas, including frozen pot stickers, meat and Eggo waffles. *Takes vigorous notes*
“Who wants to dip the first popsicle?” J.Lo says before adding, “Homemade, guys.”
In true DIY fashion, the recipe doesn’t go according to plan. When Lopez tries to dip the popsicle, the cold surface refuses to adhere to the chocolate, creating a half-dipped product.
“This is not working,” she says. To which Max responds, “I knew this was going to be a flop.” Well, at least it still tastes good.
The caption read, “Made some Halloween treats with the cocos and @lacarba [pumpkin emoji] [ghost emoji].” Lopez also added a few hashtags, which teased the botched result: “#SundayFunday #NailedIt #NOT [laughing emoji] #HappyHalloween.”
Despite the failed attempt, it seems the family had a great time singing and dancing while making the treats.
