Lawrence first met Maroney—an art gallery director—back in 2018 and the pair started dating that same year. They were apparently introduced by a mutual friend, Laura Simpson. After announcing their engagement in February 2019, they tied the knot in October of that same year in Rhode Island.
While J.Law typically keeps the details of her private life on the DL, it was first announced that she and Maroney were expecting their first child last September, when a rep for the actress confirmed to People that Lawrence was pregnant.
Then, Lawrence showed off her baby bump in a few different settings, like when she protested with pal Amy Schumer back in October or when she walked the red carpet at the premiere of her latest movie, Don't Look Up.
And it seems as if Lawrence is going to be staying busy as a new mother. The Silver Linings Playbook star has an upcoming film on the way, titled Red, White and Water, where she stars alongside Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) and Samira Wiley (Orange Is the New Black). Meanwhile, Lawrence is set to collab once again with director Adam McKay in a film about Elizabeth Holmes (making her the latest actress to portray the former biotech mogul).
We hope Lawrence is enjoying some well-deserved rest (and we'll be excitedly awaiting a pic of this new baby).
