Jennifer Hudson Wore a Short-Sleeve, Blinged-Out Suit—and It Looks a LOT Better Than It Sounds
Not everyone has the flair or the courage to pull off a short-sleeve pantsuit. Add a healthy draping of crystal embellishments to the the two-piece and that list shrinks even more. You know what? Just give the thing to Jennifer Hudson.
The 37-year-old musician walked the 2019 Billboard Music Awards red carpet in a camel pantsuit from up-and-coming NYC label Area that featured short sleeves and a net-like crystal overlay so that she could swish to her heart’s delight. She paired the look with silver heels and plenty of sparkling jewelry, including diamond hoop earrings from Stefere that cost more than$83K.
At the award show (which, fittingly, took place in Las Vegas), Hudson presented the Icon Award to Mariah Carey, who then sang a medley of a few of her most popular songs. You’d be hard-pressed to find two bigger stars on stage together, short-sleeve pantsuit or not.
Hudson was also seen mingling with her Cats co-star Taylor Swift. Hudson, who plays the role of Grizabella in the upcoming 2019 adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical, just wrapped production on the film.
