In the clip, Garner kicks things off by introducing her first-ever Pretend Cooking Show guest: Daniele Uditi, who is the head chef at Pizzana, a trendy new Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.
First, they begin with the tomato sauce, which must be mashed by hand. “First thing I learned, don’t put them in the blender,” Garner says with a smirk of guilt.
After making the dough from scratch, Uditi shows the actress how to properly knead it, which is far less complicated than it sounds on paper. Once the sauce and toppings are added, they cook the pizzas for about ten minutes before adding cheese and a dash of olive oil.

1. Crush tomatoes by hand and add salt.
2. Combine yeast, flour and water in a bowl and knead for about five minutes. Let it rest for two to three minutes before kneading and setting aside for another hour.
3. Divide dough into balls and flatten with your fingers.
4. Add olive oil to crust, followed by sauce and basil.
5. Bake at 500 degrees for about ten minutes.
6. Remove from oven and add cheese.
7. Bake for another two to three minutes.
