Jason Tartick is wasting no time taking advantage of his Bachelorette perks.
The 29-year-old recently sat down for an interview with People to discuss his not-so-shocking elimination on last night’s episode of The Bachelorette. When asked if he’s interested in pursuing a future Bachelor opportunity, he admitted that he’s “very single” before saying he’d “definitely consider” rejoining the franchise. (Surprise, surprise.)
Jason went on to discuss how Becca Kufrin prepared him for this next chapter, adding, “Coming into The Bachelorette, I always led with a calculated mind and not an open heart. I’m able to start leading with my heart and not my head. And I’m in the best position to find who I’m looking for now.”
As for his dramatic return in episode nine, it had nothing to do with winning Kufrin back. In fact, Jason said he wanted to establish a friendship with the producers her.
“It had nothing to do with changing her mind or asking for her back,” he continued. “Everything ended so abruptly. It just didn’t feel like the way it ended was the right way to close the door. We said a peaceful goodbye. And that will help us become friends down the road.”
In the meantime, we’ll be crossing our fingers that the runner-up is just as determined. May the odds be ever in your favor, gentlemen.
The Bachelorette: Men Tell All airs on Monday, July 30, on ABC.
