Jamie Lee Curtis Shares Throwback Snap of This Wild Haircut She Rocked in the ’80s

Jamie Lee Curtis may be known now for her signature pixie cut, but over the years, the Halloween actress has rocked a number of different hairstyles. Recently, Curtis shared a new Instagram post, where she showed off a much longer hairdo that she wore back in the ’80s (and we can't get over how different she looks).

The 63-year-old star dug up a couple of vintage snaps and pointed out the wild hairstyle that she was sporting at the time. In her caption, she said, “A klute, pun intended #tbt to when I thought I could play pool/snooker and thought I could rock the Jane Fonda KLUTE haircut and pull off the linen does wrinkle outfit.”

In case you were unaware, Klute is a movie starring Fonda from 1971, where she portrays a sex worker who helps a detective solve a missing persons case (and it earned Fonda an Academy Award for Best Actress). In the movie, Fonda rocks a haircut very similar to the one seen on Curtis, including long, mullet-like strands in the back and curved bangs that frame the face.

In the rest of her caption, Curtis said, “Remember there were no stylists or glam teams back then. Funny to see it. I think this was from the movie ROAD GAMES that I made with Richard Franklin in Australia with Stacy Keach.”

The 1981 thriller, Road Games, sees Curtis play a hitchhiker who helps a truck driver try to track down a serial killer that is murdering women across Australia. When this film was released, Curtis was only 23 years old.

And despite the star's jokes about her appearance, fans showed their love in the comments, like one user who said, “Without a stylist, this look works really well.” Another wrote, “Oh, you sure could rock it!”

We are loving this vintage ’do too, Jamie.
