Crikey! The Irwins Are Returning to TV to Honor ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Dad
It’s been 11 years since the beloved Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, passed away. Now his family is honoring his passion for animals by returning to the network that aired The Crocodile Hunter for 11 years.
Yesterday, Irwin’s widow, Terri, and their two children, Bindi (19) and Robert (13), announced they will continue Irwin’s legacy by creating and producing Crocodile Hunter-esque TV shows on Animal Planet. The Irwins will also serve as global ambassadors to Discovery Communications, which owns Animal Planet.
Bindi posted a sweet video on Instagram to share the family’s excitement and celebrate the news. She captioned the post, “Crikey! So excited to announce that we are officially returning to @AnimalPlanet next year! We love the @DiscoveryChannel family.”
From winning the Mirrorball Trophy to handling every amphibian, reptile and mammal on the planet, this is one multifaceted family.
