Is it just us, or does cooking dinner always involve one of two things: We forget an essential ingredient (back to the grocery it is), or we forget an essential cooking step. Oops. While we can’t hire a personal sous chef to solve our kitchen woes, we can download an app…and that’s kind of the next best thing.
Enter Innit, a new smart cooking app that can only be described as fancy. How fancy? Like, it sends cooking instructions straight to your oven and gives you live status updates on your meal.
Says Eugenio Minvielle, the app’s founder, “We built the Innit platform to not only help you prepare a meal, but also to give you the confidence to conquer the daily kitchen challenges that get in the way of making and sharing great-tasting home-cooked meals every day.” Basically, that means it doesn’t *just* provide recipes and how-to videos (we kinda already have Google for that), but assists with planning and shopping (i.e., grocery lists) in addition to prep and cooking. Innit even takes allergies, nutrition, diet and personal preferences into consideration, so you can tweak recipes to your needs. Whoa.
The app works with phones, smart displays and home assistants (like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant) as well as Wi-Fi-equipped smart appliances. And just like that, we’re considering a smart oven.
