Ikea’s Got You Covered with DIY Instructions to Make Your Own Jon Snow ‘GoT’ Cape
Remember when we found out that Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) seemingly luxurious Night’s Watch cape was made from an Ikea rug? *Mind. Blown* Well, the Swedish retailer just released official instructions for making your very own GoT-inspired faux fur cape.
The frustration furniture giant released illustrated DIY instructions (because its Ikea) and revealed all you need to channel the King in the North is a pair of scissors, the patience of a saint and the Skold rug, which will run you $79. If we’re reading this infographic correctly—*throws in Allen wrench for good measure*—all you have to do is cut a line in the middle of the rug and then cut out a circle. So simple, even Joffrey could make one!
Once you’ve accomplished the Swedish dance of cutting a rug (see what we did there?), wrap that bad boy around your shoulders à la Miranda Priestly and then get your best Cruella de Vil on while living your best cruelty-free life.
This may not be the exact way Game of Thrones costume designer Michele Clapton constructed Jon Snow’s furocious attire, but, hey, we’ll take it. Winter is coming.
