How to Watch the 2017 Oscars If You Dont Have Cable
Matt Petit/A.M.P.A.S.

News flash: The Academy Awards (The OSCARS, if you’re nasty) are in two days. As in, Sunday, February 26. Red carpet coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET, and the ceremony gets underway at 8:30 p.m ET. Whether you’re into the movies or the fashion or the inevitable name pronunciation flubs, you want to watch. The only problem is, you don’t have cable. So what do you do? Here are a few courses of action:

1. Go to ABC.com or the ABC app. The network will live-stream the show, but there are a few catches. First, you’ll have to live in one of these markets. Next, you’ll need a cable log-in, so we recommend being extra nice to your cable-paying friends whose info you can borrow for the night.

2. Start a free trial of either Sling TV or Playstation VUE, two streaming services that include ABC. Create an account to take advantage of a free seven-day trial. Then, you can decide if you’d like to continue with the service, and if not, you can just cancel your account before the trial period is up.

3. Poll your friends to see who has cable. Identify someone who does. Go to her house and mooch.

Now that you know how to watch the show, be sure to join us as we get our Oscars on for the best in fashion, red carpet moments, memorable speeches and more on PureWow.com, Instagram and Facebook.
