Harry Styles Embraced the ’80s in Polka-Dots and Pink on the ‘Today’ Show

Whether he’s rocking grandma pearls and a cardigan or posing with farm animals in Gucci garb, Harry Styles always brings his own flair to fashion. Over the years, he’s developed a reputation for bold colors and wide-legged pants. So, it should be no surprise that when the 26-year-old “Watermelon Sugar” singer arrived at the Today show ready to perform, he was flaunting an ’80s version of his signature lewk.

The Dunkirk star looked fresh out of a John Hughes movie, wearing a pastel pink blazer, eggplant high-waisted wide-legged trousers, a blue button-down, a black-and-white-polka-dot tie and white patent-leather loafers. Of course, every piece was Gucci, because Styles is fancy like that (he also has a contract with the fashion house).

Truth be told, we’re kind of vibing with that blazer and loafer combination. Care to let us borrow, Harry?

Styles performed “Kiwi” and more hits from his Fine Line album while visiting the show. He also confirmed he’s doing just fine after being mugged at knifepoint in London on Valentine’s Day (geez!). He even took a moment to tease a potential collaboration between himself and Lizzo. (He’s covered her song “Juice” and they performed a duet during Super Bowl weekend in Miami).

But that’s not all. Styles also announced he’s holding a two-night concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 30 and 31 that’s aptly titled “Harryween.” As somewhat of a Halloween enthusiast, the “Adore You” singer will be dressing up in costume. In years past, he’s dressed as both Miley Cyrus and Elton John, so we can only imagine what awaits us.

In the meantime, we’ll be trying to channel Styles’s creativity the next time we get dressed.
