It appears Christmas Halloween came early.

Universal Pictures just dropped the first official trailer for its upcoming movie Halloween. But (disclaimer!) this new teaser, which takes place 40 years after the original film, is not for the fainthearted.

In the clip, we’re reintroduced to the crimes committed by Michael Myers (Nick Castle), who is now locked up in a psychiatric ward. Karma, amirite?

But—whaddaya know—when a bus crash results in his escape, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) goes on a revenge mission and, well, chaos ensues.

She says, “Do you know that I pray every night that he would escape?” Before explaining, “So I can kill him.” Gulp.

Halloween hits theaters on Friday, October 19. *Orders night-light on Amazon Prime*
