Exclusive: Gwen Stefani Reveals Her Favorite Makeup Tip for Ladies Who Wear Glasses

Clearly not as recognizable as her signature platinum locks or bright red pout, this Gwen Stefani accessory staple is one we don't often see her in: her eyeglasses.

The "Hollaback Girl" singer and mom of three, though, has been a devoted glasses wearer throughout her adult life. And she launched two of her own eyeglass and sunglass collections, L.A.M.B. and gx, through opticals brand Tura last year.

Now, she's dipping a toe in tween eyewear in honor of her 10-year-old son Zuma, who has worn glasses his whole life. The new collection, called Zuma Rock (available on Tura's website), basically makes the multi-hyphenate star and Grammy award winning artist an eyeglass pro.

When we sat down with Stefani for an exclusive chat about the new line, we asked the mom of three her best makeup tip for glasses wearers.

"I would just say that more is more," Stefani told PureWow. Permission to go full smoky eye behind your cat-eye rims: granted.

"I think that when you wear glasses you can get away with a lot more makeup," she continued. "It's nice that you can highlight the artwork you did on your eye with your frames," she said.

"I think it looks so good... To me, it doesn't look as good to not wear a lot of makeup. For me, I have to wear a lot of makeup when I wear glasses," Stefani laughed. (TBH, we think that rule applies with or without the rims in your case, Miss Stefani.)

Yep, you heard it here first. The more B-A-N-A-N-A-S your makeup is behind those spectacles, the better.
