Gwen Stefani just shared a rare glimpse of her stunning engagement ring, and it’s even bigger than we imagined.
Last night, the “Hollaback Girl” singer, 51, posted a series of videos on her Instagram Story (screenshot below). In one clip, Stefani lifted her arm to debut a close-up of the sparkler she received from Blake Shelton.
The engagement ring features a massive solitaire diamond, which is set on a white gold or platinum band. According to Kathryn Money (senior vice president of merchandising and retail expansion for Brilliant Earth), the accessory is estimated to cost around $500,000+.
In the clip, Stefani explains why she’s sitting in the car during the 2020 People’s Choice Awards. “So basically, I have to stay in the car because of COVID, but I’m here to support Blake in case he wins,” she says.
The couple met back in 2014 on the set of The Voice when Stefani replaced Christina Aguilera as a coach during her maternity leave. However, things didn’t turn romantic until Shelton finalized his divorce with Miranda Lambert in 2015. That October, their relationship was confirmed when they were spotted showing PDA at Maroon 5’s Halloween party.
In October 2020, Stefani and Shelton announced their engagement on social media. Although the photo featured her massive engagement ring, this is the first time we’ve seen a close-up shot of the sparkler.
