‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14 Finally Has a Premiere Date & Shooting Is Under Way
Get pumped, people! Grey's Anatomy's has not only snagged a premiere date, but the Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital staff has officially started filming season 14. *Does happy dance*
The Grey's season premiere is slated for Thursday, September 28 and the cast held their first table read over the weekend. To commemorate the exciting occasion, several of the show's stars posted behind the scenes photos on Instagram.
Ellen Pompeo—Dr. Meredith Grey herself—posted a photo last night that shows her looking off towards the ocean (Lake? River? We don't know.) while a helicopter circles above. She captioned the gorgeous pic, “Season 14 I'm coming for you,” and added in the punching emoji so we know she meant business. Though one might take her caption literally, those with stellar vision will notice a camera dangling on the side of the chopper capturing the gorgeous Dr. Grey on film. So while Meredith is still putting in hours at the Hospital, she may also be taking some R&R this season.
Dr. Grey isn't the only one gearing up for the new season. Giacomo Gianniotti (Dr. Andrew DeLuca) snapped and shared a picture from the cast's table read.
Gianniotti further tantalized fans with a photo of the season 14 episode one script, titled "Break down the House." Dr. DeLuca's photo shows the episode was written by Krista Vernoff (who wrote 17 past episodes of Grey's) and will be directed by Debbie Allen (Catherine Avery).
Sarah Drew (April) posted selfies with various costars instead, including one with O.G. doctor, Justin Chambers (Alex Karev).
In other fun Grey's news, Jaina Lee Ortiz (Rosewood) officially signed on to the cast of the untitled Grey's Anatomy spinoff, which airs this fall and will center around firefighters in Seattle, Washington.
Wash up and throw on your scrubs because season 14 is going to be a wild ride.
