Hugh Jackman Invents the Circus in ‘The Greatest Showman’ Trailer
Hugh Jackman gives Ryan Gosling a run for his La La Land money in the star-studded trailer for the new musical The Greatest Showman.
Jackman plays legendary Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus showman P.T. Barnum, depicting his rise from poverty to worldwide fame. After being let go from his job, Barnum gathers up a crew of misfits, including the always-pleasant-to-look-at Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya and Rebecca Ferguson, and creates “the greatest show on Earth.”
But we're certainly not knocking La La Land. The Oscar-winning songwriters of “City of Stars,” Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (who also just won a Tony for composing the score to Dear Evan Hansen), are behind The Greatest Showman's score. So, prepare thine Oscar bingo.
We'll be first in line when Zac Efron's abs The Greatest Showman hits theaters December 25.
