Bakers, start your ovens. The Great British Baking Show, aka our favorite form of meditation, returns to PBS for its fourth season Friday night.
The season four premiere will feature 12 novice bakers competing (but also helping one another out) in a test of who can make the best cakes and biscuits (i.e., cookies) in all of the United Kingdom.
Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins will reprise their roles as tour guides judges in a world where everyone is helpful, polite and understands the importance of a good puff pastry. Be sure to savor all the deliciousness this season of The Great British Baking Show has to offer, because this will be Berry, Giedroyc and Perkins's last. (PBS has ordered two more seasons of the show, but we're not convinced anyone can fill Berry's chef hat.)
Let your troubles melt away like bananas flambé and tune in to The Great British Baking Show Friday, June 23, at 9 p.m. on PBS.
