74-Year-Old Goldie Hawn Jumping on Her Trampoline Is Peak Quarantine Energy

If there's one thing we needed on day-who-honestly-knows of lockdown, it's the one and only Goldie Hawn going ham on a trampoline. And folks, Ms. Hawn delivered.

On Wednesday, the 74-year-old actress blasted some Dua Lipa, bounced around on her workout trampoline and posted the video to her Instagram account. Of course, the energetic video wasn't just for laughs—even though we definitely needed it. Per Hawn's caption, there's method to the madness: “My crazy @mindup mindful movement for today. Dance, jump and twirl like nobody’s watching, and thanks @dualipa for the best addition to my trampoline playlist!”

Hawn is at the helm of MindUP, a youth program that teaches children the tools they need to manage stress and anxiety. In her founder's letter explaining why she created the program, Hawn writes, “I had a call to action to create a program that would help kids learn how to self regulate their emotions, become more resilient and learn about how their brain works to give them a road map out of despair and into a more positive mindset. Combining the brilliance of neuroscientists, teachers, positive psychologists and experts in mindfulness, my dream for kids came true, with the creation of our program MindUP. I am happy to say that 6 million children have been taught MindUP in schools around the world and growing.”

So how exactly does a spastic Instagram video fit into this? Hawn's demonstrating mindful movement, which is essentially being aware that you're moving your body and checking in with yourself—connecting your mind and body instead of separating your mind and body, which is kinda what we do when we do an intense workout.

Sounds complicated? We promise, it's not. Hawn's example shows that mindful movement can be silly, fun and...leave you a little out of breath at the end.
