Goldie Hawn Was Every Grandparent During the Birth of Kate Hudson's Daughter

When it comes to grandparenting, Goldie Hawn isn’t afraid to stick her head in places it doesn’t belong.

The 73-year-old actress guest hosted today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show with her daughter, Kate Hudson. During the interview, Hawn revealed that she asked for permission to watch the birth of her grandchild, Rani Rose, and for good reason.

At the 2:15 mark, Hudson discusses the birth of her daughter and reveals that Hawn was there for every step of the way. (Literally.)

“She was right in there,” Hudson says. “I remember the doctor goes, ‘Goldie, if you get a little closer, you might fall in.’”
